O.K., I admit it was with some perverse pleasure that I read this article:
http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249...
Nature's Sunshine Products, one of the many Provo-based "distributorship" based companies, retracted 4 years of financial statements, announced the termination of senior officers, and that it had "contacted the 'relevant authorities' with respect to potential wrongdoings."
But it gets more interesting - none other than Richard G. Hinckley, son of Gordon B, and new GA, was a director of the company. In fact, he signed the last 10K filed by the company. You can see a copy here:

Go to page 41 to see Hinckley listed.
Hinckley also made about $240,000 in February 2005 from exercising stock options in the company - apparently at a time when it was putting out false financial statements. Go here for the details:

So, the new GA might be getting a visit from some feds. Wonder if he will volunteer to give the proceeds back?
| Did anyone notice whether GBH's GA son was squirming in his seat during Conference last weekend? Richard Hinckley served as a director for Nature's Sunshine up until just before he was called to serve as a GA a year ago.
Nature's Sunshine Products Inc., a Provo direct seller of nutritional supplements, lost its listing on Nasdaq after it was delinquent with filing the audited results of its quarterly earnings report ended Sept. 30, and its annual fiscal 2005 report. Its deadline for filing was Friday.

Last Friday, the company's auditor (KPMG LLP) resigned. Monday morning a shareholder filed a class action lawsuit against the company in SLC alleging violations of federal securities laws.
How is GBH going to handle this one?
